Weather Reports

I am very impressed at how quickly students can learn to use programs on their mac/ibooks. They have been recording themselves saying a weather report. Here is a recording of the sample Wetterbericht which I did for them.

Die Abenteuer des Wikingers Hägar (Hagar the Horrible)

I wanted to share with you all a really cool thing I learned about the other day. I was checking out a newspaper website for a city in Niedersachsen Germany (thanks for the lead Mathias) called Bad-Zwischenahn. I happened to notice that there was a link to "Haegar und Seine Freunde" so I clicked on it and sure enough it was Hagar the Horrible auf Deutsch! Bitte, klicken Sie hier für DieAbenteuer des Wikingers Hägar, you must click on Zur Hägar-Galerie to get to the comics. Viele Hägarvergnügen noch!

P.S. In case you are wondering, the strip in the German online newspapers does not appear to be the same daily comic as appears in the U.S. Na ja, pretty cool all the same!

Hallo und Wie geht's?

Hallo Klasse! As a another way to practice writing German I will post different questions for you to respond to. 8th graders will be doing similar responding on the moodle but this is open to all classes. You must respond to at least three questions to qualify for Weekly Writing Skill. So...die erste drei Fragen sind:

Wie heißt du?

Wo wohnst du?

Wie alt bist du?
